Each picture represents apart of D.A.V.I.D.S.' Mission to help the community. With our Fate of the World shirts, the message refers to how we believe that children hold the fate of the world in their hands. The Valley shirt shows that regardless of what obstacles arise against us, we have the strength to overcome it all. Sexual Abuse Survivor Scholarship

Continuing Education Students who have survived sexual abuse and assault are eligible to apply for the Sexual Abuse Survivor Scholarship, awarded annually from D.A.V.I.D.S. OUTREACH COALITION INC. The scholarship winner receives $1,000. The deadline to apply is April 26, 2021.

About the Sexual Abuse Survivor Scholarship

D.A.V.I.D.S. OUTREACH COALITION sponsors this scholarship as a way to promote the stories of those who have been victims of sexual abuse, while also showing how these students are overcoming the abuse and moving forward with their lives. This scholarship is also designed as a way to help educate members of the public about sexual abuse and the difficulties victims of this abuse must overcome.

D.A.V.I.D.S. OUTREACH COALITION hopes that through the promotion of these stories and essays that the public will become more aware of how sexual abuse can happen and how to protect themselves and their loved ones from becoming victims by practicing safety and increased awareness.

Eligibility for Scholarship

Students must follow a few rules when applying for this scholarship, including:

• Students must be at least 18 years old

• Student must be enrolled or plan to attend a vocational or continuing education program

• Submit a written essay up to 500 words

Scholarship Essay Topic

Students applying for this Sexual Abuse Survivor Scholarship should explain in 500 words how they plan to use education to improve their opportunities going forward in life. The essay also should explain how the students are taking control of their lives.

How to Apply for the Sexual Abuse Survivor Scholarship

To apply, students should submit their essays in either Word or PDF document formats to info@davidsoutreachcoalition.com The student should include the following information:

• Name

• Contact information

• Proof of enrollment or acceptance letter to vocational or continuing education program

We will not share your personal information with anyone. However, it is possible that we will publish your essay on the D.A.V.I.D.S. OUTREACH COALITION web site, excluding name and any other personal identifiers unless instructed otherwise.

Scholarships will be disbursed directly to the school.

Community Takeover Vol. 1: National Poetry Month and Sexual Assault Awareness Open Mic

In honor of National Poetry Month, DAVIDS OUTREACH COALITION INC. will be holding an OPEN MIC on April 30,2021. This event will be FREE to the public. There will be live music, giveaways, and refreshments, not to exclude some AMAZING performances. In addition, there will be some time dedicated towards Sexual Assault Awareness. Several vendors will be present to discuss resources available within the community. All are welcome to attend but spacing is limited. Please RSVP in advance.
