Meet the Founder
Founder, Samantha Moore, is a skilled communicator and conscientious self-starter with over 10+ years of blended experience in law enforcement, teaching, counseling, public speaking, and leadership.
About Samantha
Born and raised in the Southeast Community of Newport News, Virginia, a community known for low income housing, gun violence, and drugs, Samantha fought to overcome many day to day hardships.
At just an early age, Samantha accompanied her mother as she fled from domestic violence. Before the age of 15, she had experienced mental and sexual abuse in addition to the passing of her mother. Becoming a youth leader in church and in the local community center provided her with the strength to maintain focus and obtain her high school diploma.

After graduation, Samantha joined the United States Air Force. During her time serving in the military, she continued to mentor youth, working as a Camp Counselor for at-risk teens in Golden, Missouri. Following her service, she returned to her hometown and began working fulltime in the private security industry while simultaneously pursuing her degree.

In 2010, Samantha survived a suicide attempt and escaped her own domestic violence relationship. Despite the obstacles she faced, she was determined not to let adversity defeat her. She pushed through homelessness, earned employment as a Corrections' Officer for one of the local regional jails, and currently works as a Student Support Specialist for Peninsula Regional Education Program's GED and Integrated Education and Training Services.

Furthermore, in conjunction with her employment, Samantha is a member of the Hampton Roads NAACP. She serves as the Social Action Committee Chair and a Z-Hope Committee Member for Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated Zeta Amicae of Newport News and Hampton Auxiliary. In addition, she volunteers as a sub-committee member of the Newport News Veteran's and Re-entry Councils and Prison Ministry Team at her church.

On August 30, 2018, Samantha founded D.A.V.I.D.S. OUTREACH COALITION to commemorate the legacy of her mother, providing shelter for the homeless and working with local officials to combat the effect drugs, violence, and financial instability are placing on the community.
